Gatineau police arrested four people in relation to drug trafficking occurring throughout the city.
At around 4 p.m. Thursday, police arrested three men and a woman after intercepting their vehicle at the intersection of Curé-Robert and Archambault streets in Gatineau.
Police seized 26.5 grams of crack cocaine; 19 grams of cocaine; four unidentified pills; a small amount of marijuana; and $1,955 in cash. They also seized two cellphones as well as the car, a 2014 Honda Civic.
Two of the men, aged 40 and 49, were charged with drug trafficking, drug possession with intent to traffic and possession of illegal substances.
The 40-year-old man is expected to appear in a Quebec court Friday, while the other man was released and will appear at a later date.
The third man, 49, and the woman, 44, are charged with drug possession. A date has not yet been set for their court appearances.
