Alleged killer Devontay Hackett, wanted on Canada-wide warrant for second-degree murder after the prom killing of 18-year-old Brandon Volpi, has been arrested in Toronto.
Hackett, 18, has evaded police for more than one month since Volpi’s fatal stabbing in the early morning hours after both high school students celebrated their prom on June 7.
Ottawa police major crime investigators had initially believed the teen had been in the Ottawa area but said in recent days that he could have moved on to another city.
