Police are considering investigating the origin of a YouTube video which appears to show someone riding a small motorcycle through a pedestrian walkway beneath Carleton University.
The roughly seven-minute video was posted Saturday by someone named “Logan M” who says it was shot in the university’s underground underground tunnels.
“I rode them, it was loud and slippery,” he writes.
The motorcycle is identified as Suzuki Dr-Z400, a small 24-cubic-inch, single-cylinder trail bike, with a top speed of about 150 kilometres an hour.
Ottawa police Const. Marc Soucy said the university contacted police but he was unable to say whether an investigation has been started.
“It is a pedestrian walkway and if somebody comes out of a tunnel and he hits them, he’s facing very serious consequences,” said Soucy.
University officials could not be reached for comment.
