Two people were treated for minor smoke inhalation after a fire broke out in a Carlsbad Springs home early Sunday morning.
Shortly after 4 a.m., Ottawa Fire received a call from the homeowner at 5504 Piperville Rd., in Carlsbad Springs,
When they arrived, crews saw smoke and flames visible from the eaves of a single family home. All of the occupants had left the home.
The fire was under control just after 4:30 a.m.
Two occupants were treated by paramedics for minor smoke inhalation.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
Damages are listed as $100,000 to the structure and $75,000 for contents.
