Sounds out, beaches are back in action

Those pesky choliform bacteria have once again retreated at city beaches, in time for a warmish weekend in the capital.

Ottawa Public health advises that the green swimming flags are flying at Britannia, Mooney’s, Westboro and the Petrie Island beaches.

On Friday, all but Britannia were closed because the steady rain had contributed to high choliform counts at the others.
