A public appeal for information on three robberies has led to the arrest of a 32-year-old Ottawa man.
Police say the first robbery was on June 5 at a gas station in the 600 block of Bronson Avenue. A man wore a handkerchief over his face and was carrying a large knife when he demanded cash and cigarettes.
On June 20, police say the same man went into a convenience store in the 800 block of Bank Street first without wearing a disguise. The man returned to the store on the same day with a scarf covering his face and demanded cash, cigarettes and lottery tickets.
Police allege the man also robbed a gas station at knifepoint on Bronson Avenue near Chamberlain Avenue on July 8.
Mark Genier is charged with three counts of robbery, three counts of wearing a disguise and three counts possession of a weapon in the commission of an offence. Grenier is scheduled to appear in court next on Tuesday.
