A 32-year-old worker suffered serious burns and cuts after he received an electrical shock while working at Carleton University on Tuesday.
Ottawa paramedics said the man — an electrical contractor — was standing on a ladder removing wires from a ceiling fixture at about 11 a.m. when he received the shock.
He suffered 2nd-degree burns and a serious cut to one hand.
The man is in stable condition in hospital.
