Ontario Provincial Police arrested a Petawawa man Thursday after completing a child sex abuse investigation.
Thomas Weldon Field, 24, was charged with one count of luring a child over the Internet and one count of invitation to sexual touching.
Police were investigating the man after they received a complaint he was engaging in an unlawful text conversation with an 11-year-old boy.
Field was held in custody awaiting a bail hearing scheduled for Friday in at a Pembroke court.
OPP are continuing their investigation.
