A flight bound for Toronto made an emergency landing at the Ottawa Airport early Wednesday morning after reports of smoke in the cockpit.
Ottawa paramedic service responded to the call at around 6 a.m. for 69 passengers and four crew members.
Spokesman Fran?ois Côté said paramedics were on scene when it landed, but that nobody had injuries or required assessment.
“Smoke in the cockpit was the issue,” he said.
The Ottawa Airport Authority said the plane was diverted to Ottawa and landed at around 6:30 a.m.
“The incident from our perspective is resolved,” said Krista Kealey, airport spokeswoman. “The air field is now open.”
Ottawa Fire Service said the call came in just after 6 a.m., but they were not needed on site.
More to come.
