Ottawa police are seeking public assistance in identifying a suspect in an attempted robbery last month.
Police say a man walked into a convenience store in the 1300 block of Richmond Road at about 1:45 a.m. on July 20. He asked for cigarettes, but then demanded the attendant hand over the cash.
Police say he fled the store empty-handed. No weapon was seen and there were no injuries.
The suspect is described as Caucasian, about 50 years old, approximately five feet six inches tall, with medium build and balding.
