Ottawa police are investigating shots fired in the Shillington Avenue area in the city’s south central area early Saturday.
Police received a number of 911 calls at about 4:30 a.m. by people who heard gunshots.
Patrol officers canvassed the area and found several shell casings were found, but there was evidence to suggest someone had been hurt.
The Ottawa Police Service guns and gang unit asks anyone with information on the incident to call 613-236-1222 ext. 5050, or Crime Stoppers at 613-233-8477 (TIPS) or 1-800-222-8477.
