Pay It Forward' with Free Coffee at Florida Starbucks,星巴克连续378人帮下位顾客付钱

378 People 'Pay It Forward' with Free Coffee at Florida Starbucks

A woman started an act of kindness chain that lasted for hours at a Starbucks drive-thru in Florida.

She ordered an iced coffee at about 7 a.m. Wednesday in St. Petersburg and asked to pay for the caramel macchiato for the stranger in the car behind her. He returned the favor. The chain kept going as employees began keeping count.

The Tampa Bay Times reports the chain finally ended around 6 p.m. when customer number 379 pulled up and ordered a regular coffee. Barista Vu Nguyen leaned out the window and explained the chain that started earlier in the day, asking if she'd like to participate. She declined, saying she only wanted to pay for her coffee.

Nguyen says he doesn't believe she understood the concept of paying it forward.

Tim 。。
Dark Roast

TIM HORTONS 3小时223 ORDERS(平均每47秒出一个ORDER),比星巴克的11小时378 ORDERS(平均每1分45秒出一个ORDER)厉害多了。

“An avalanche of kindness" over three hours at a Tim Hortons outlet in Winnipeg prompted 228 customers to pick up the tab for the people behind them.

For three full hours and 228 orders, a generous chain of Tim Hortons customers in Winnipeg picked up the tab for the people behind them.

“It was an avalanche of kindness,” coffee chain spokeswoman Michelle Robichaud told the Star on Monday.

Paying it forward isn’t uncommon at Timmie’s, she said, but no one had ever seen anything like this.

It started at about 10 a.m. at the drive-through window at Tim Hortons on Beaverhill Blvd. in Winnipeg on Dec. 21. Light snow had been falling all morning, there were four shopping days until Christmas and the temperature was minus-13.5C.

“There was a lot of excitement inside the restaurant. Staff were shouting out numbers like, “It’s up to 147!” said Robichaud.

Eventually, someone who had their four coffees paid for decided to break the chain and pulled away without paying for the three coffees behind him.

“There were more guests in line,” said Robichaud. “Who knows what their motivation was?”

For the record, April 25, 2013 is International Pay it Forward Day.

THE AGE OF PERSUASION/UNDER THE INFLUENCE,经常会介绍商家搞的类似的一些小把戏。
