A 24-year-old Gatineau man, who was driving a stolen vehicle, faces a number of charges and $2,172 in automatic fines after a police chase in Gatineau Tuesday night.

A brief chase ensued, ending two minutes later at the corner of Saint-Raymond and Alexandre-Taché boulevards.
Police said the three people in the car were taken into custody, but two passengers were later released without charges.
The vehicle had been reported stolen a few days earlier from a used-car dealership in the Gatineau area, but it had plates from another vehicle.
Danny De Sousa, 24, of Gatineau faces charges including of possession of a stolen vehicle, reckless driving, breach of probation and possession of methamphetamine after police searched the car’s glove compartment and found the substance.
