Parkdale Food Centre Coordinator, Karen Secord, along with a busload of about 20 clients, travelled on to Rideau Pines Farm in North Gower to harvest fresh vegetables Wednesday, September 17, 2014.
Among the clients helping with the quest for fresh vegetables on Wednesday were Bernadette Ifill, and her 13-year-old daughter Faith, along with Maurizio Marangone.
The Parkdale Food Centre was in the news last month, because of their policy to refuse “low quality” foods, including chips, pop and mac-and-cheese.

Client Emalia Wani burst out laughing as she bites into a big pepper after harvesting a few bushels herself.
