A small two-seater plane has crash landed in a field near Bank Street, according to the Ottawa fire department.
Ottawa fire spokesman Marc Messier said the plane landed in the park near Ledbury Avenue and Bank Street at around 2:30 p.m. The pilot and his passenger were not injured.
Messier said it appears the plane may have been having engine troubles as it approached the Ottawa airport and the pilot put it down in the field.
