Just come up to give some comments:
- I went to Ashbury this Tuesday to accompany a friend and her son from China to do interview. Yearly basic tuition fee over $21,000 plus lots of other charges as well as donation upon request. A long financial handbook given by the school. I even didn't finish reading. The advantage is they have the earliest IB program in Ottawa. Houses there are huge but the most expensive.
- Kanata: the best public primary schools of Ottawa plus great high school Earl of March. Houses are nice and price is acceptable.
- Downtown: gifted program from primary school to middle school and high school; French gifted too; houses are expensive and the living environment not as good as Kanata or Barrhaven. but it's convenient.
- Orleans: the only public IB which is the best high school of Ottawa. primary and middle schools just normal. Houses almost the same price as Kanata but older (excluding the ones over 1m).
- Barrhaven: schools are so so but houses are nice and cheaper. Chinese community so get easier access to many activities.
- Gatineau and Hull: private schools there are much cheaper. French is mandatory. houses cheaper too but you cannot live there and send kids to Ottawa schools.
