Ottawa police say they have charged Daniel Marois, 44, of Gatineau in connection with three historical sexual assaults of women in Ottawa.
He is accused of three counts of sex assault and two counts of uttering death threats.
Police said the assaults involved a 19-year-old victim on April 22, 2001 in the 2200 block of Carling Avenue; a 26-year-old victim April 17, 2009 in the 100 block of Dalhousie Street; and a 21-year-old victim Aug. 12, 2013 in an undisclosed location.
Marois is scheduled to appear in court Thursday.
Police refused to provide further details.
They say there may be other victims and describe Marois as caucasian, with a shaved head, six feet tall and 181 pounds.
