Ottawa – Sections of Albion Road and Leitrim Road will be closed this weekend for the installation of a new watermain along Leitrim Road.
The Leitrim Road Feedermain construction project is a $4 million investment into a new watermain feed along Leitrim Road, from the old CPR right-of-way to Albion Road, and along Albion Road, from Leitrim Road to Del Zotto Avenue.
The watermain feed will provide additional drinking water capacity and reliability for continued growth in South Ottawa. The project includes road reconstruction and rehabilitation, as well as the replacement of some culverts.
The Leitrim Road Feedermain is an Ottawa on the Move project. Ottawa on the Move is about keeping our community and economy moving forward through strategic investments in a number of transportation, water, and sewer projects to build a better city and create jobs.

- Leitrim Road will be closed between Bowesville Road and Albion Road starting at 8 p.m. on Friday, October 17 until 6 a.m. on Saturday, October 18. A signed detour will be in place.
- Albion Road, from Leitrim Road to Findlay Creek Road, will be closed starting at 7 a.m. on Saturday, October 18 until 6 a.m. on Monday October 20. A signed detour will be in place.
