Restricted traffic access in the downtown core

Ottawa – The following closures are in effect in the vicinity of the War Monument:

• Wellington Street is closed from O’Connor Street to Mackenzie Avenue; and,
• Elgin Street is closed between Queen Street and Wellington Street.

Pedestrians are asked to use sidewalks on the west side of Elgin Street only. Pedestrians will not be permitted on Elgin Street north of Sparks Street. No pedestrian access is permitted on Wellington Street from Elgin Street northbound to Elgin Street southbound. Pedestrians who wish to access Wellington/Rideau area may do so via the National Arts Centre staircase.
