Hazmat team sent to west-end movie theatre

A Hazmat team was sent to a west-end cinema Saturday night after moviegoers in one theatre reported having trouble breathing and coughing, officials say.

Ottawa Fire Services said it got the call from police at about 9:30 p.m. and sent out “a full Hazmat response” to the Cineplex on Carling Avenue.

By 11:30, police said the Hazmat team had concluded its investigation and had found no suspicious substances.
