Environment Canada said bands of heavy flurries moving across the Bancroft — Bon Echo Park, Barry’s Bay, Killaloe and Renfrew and Arnprior — Calabogie regions on Tuesday night were expected to move southward through Eastern Ontario.

The weather office said in a special weather statement that visibilities would likely be reduced to near zero and that a quick accumulation of as much as five centimetres was possible through most of Eastern Ontario.

Further south, Prince Edward County, including Picton, and the Kingston area were under a wind warning, with gusts up to 90 km/h expected. Additionally, snow squalls were expected along the eastern end of Lake Ontario.

Motorists were warned to be prepared for poor winter driving conditions including sudden reductions in visibility in snow and blowing snow.
