The city of Ottawa’s website has apparently been hacked.
Ottawa.ca displayed a black and white page Friday night with a message saying the website had been hacked. The message names an Ottawa police officer and prominently features a gif of a dancing banana.
“We can destroy everything, this is a flex of our power. Please, test us,” the message reads.
The message ends with the hashtag #opSoaringEagle. A search for that hashtag yields a longer message on a separate website saying that “Operation Soaring Eagle” was launched two weeks ago, and targets the Ottawa police.

The city of Ottawa’s website has apparently been hacked.
“We left a digital footprint inside your internal systems, find it. We are not going to be stopping, it is time for change,” that message reads.
The hackers end their note saying “We are Anonymous. We are Legion. We do not Forgive. We do not Forget. You should have expected us.”
More to come.
