关于“Fisher Park/Summit Alternative School”

闺女9月份就7年级了，今天学校发了个表，给了两个Option：D.Roy Kennedy和Fisher Park/Summit Alternative School，在网上查了查，似乎对Summit评价不错，闺女也不知从哪儿得到的消息说那儿的老师很nice，想去那。但这个学校很反常，被identified as gifted的学生占9.6%（安省平均1.4%），差不多10个里面就有一个gift；但另一方面，需要special education services的学生也占到了19.9%（安省平均14.2%），是不是上这个学校都是怪才啊。

目前对这个学校知之甚少，有了解的朋友能否指点一二？多谢！

我娃就是Summit毕业的。这个适合对音乐，艺术，体育有兴趣的孩子。里面中国人很少，可能亚洲父母不喜欢孩子花时间在副业上吧。
我娃在那里上的7/8年级，尽管要坐bus上下学，尤其冬天辛苦些，孩子还是很开心的。

Gifted 是 special 的 一部分, 所以
> summit special 19.9, gifted 9.6, other special 10.3
> ontario 14.2%, gifted 1.4%, other special 12.8
So, summit has more gifted and less other special, good school.

我也好奇，低收入家庭是平均的二倍，而拥有大学学历的家长却高于平均值....

听说多伦多有华人辞职出来做教育顾问，所有学校，高中的那些必备的事情，大学选择。。。。事无巨细全门清。渥太华有的话，请现身吧。
