Now that’s cold. Smiths Falls police say someone stole a furnace from a home on Code Crescent late Jan. 13 or early Jan. 14 — the same night the temperature dropped to -25C, according to Environment Canada. Fortunately, it was an unoccupied house under construction.
The furnace is described as a Goodman 2 Stage. As for the Badman who took it, the trail appears to have gone quite chilly. But police made details public Friday in the hope that a tipster will call Smiths Falls Crime Stoppers at 613-284-2274 or 1-800-222-8477 and help them put the thief in the hot seat.
