A body was found following a Pembroke-area residential fire in the wee hours of Monday morning.
Ontario Provincial Police say they responded to an emergency call at around 1:10 a.m.
Police say when they arrived they found a burning house on Mud Lake Road in the Township of Laurentian Valley, which is just south of Pembroke.
A body was found on location by emergency crews.
The OPP’s forensic unit and an Ontario Fire Marshal investigator are on scene.
