A 38-year-old Pembroke man has been charged with dangerous driving causing death after one of three pedestrians struck on Pembroke’s Lake Street on Jan. 11 succumbed to his injuries.
The OPP Upper Ottawa Valley detachment said the collision was reported at approximately 9:12 p.m. on the Sunday night when three pedestrians were struck by a westbound vehicle on the roadway.
Ernest Hall, 57, of Petawawa died later in hospital from the injuries he sustained.
The other two of the pedestrians were treated and released from hospital.
Police have charged Martial Laverdure, 38, of Pembroke. He is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice, in Pembroke on March 3, 2015.
