Ottawa police are seeking public assistance in tracking down a suspect in a Thursday night holdup at a bank branch in the 1500 block of Bank Street in the south end.
At about 6 p.m., a man entered the bank branch and showed a teller a note demanding cash. He produced what police said appeared to be an imitation handgun. He fled with an undisclosed quantity of cash. There were no injuries.
He is described as a Caucasian, about 50-60 years old, about six feet (183 cm) tall with grey beard/moustache.
He wore a long, dark winter coat, a large green scarf, and carried a Loblaws recyclable bag.
