Provincial police seize drugs, weapons in Mississippi Mills raid

A team of several Ontario Provincial Police units seized a quantity of drugs and several prohibited weapons in a raid last Thursday at 670 Turners Rd. in Mississippi Mills Township, about 50 kilometres southwest of Ottawa.

Police said they seized quantities of cocaine, oxycodone tablets, methamphetamine tablets, hashish and marijuana, as well as $625 in cash in the raids.

They also seized four shotguns, including two “sawed-off” versions, which are prohibited, an expandable riot-stick type baton, a cross bow, a conducted energy (Taser) weapon, a replica Glock handgun and a “homemade choking mechanism.”

In addition, officers seized a press for packaging cocaine, 410-calibre ammunition, cellphones, client debt lists, packaging material amd weigh scales.

Travis Moore, 21, Katie Walsh, 28, and Curtis McCallum face a number of drug trafficking related charges and were released on a promise to appear Apr. 27.

Trevor Moore, 26, faces possession and trafficking charges, as well as a number of weapons offences, including pointing a firearm. He was held in custody.
