Three males have been arrested in connection with a holdup at a Winchester Pet Valu store Monday in which a clerk was struck with a crowbar.

The holdup occurred at about 6 p.m. when three people entered the store carrying the bar, confronting a female employee.

They struck the employee with bar, inflicting injuries that were treated at hospital.

They fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Police identified the accused as Jacob Wattie, 19, of Ottawa, Alexandre Faubert-Nault, 20, of Gatineau and a 15-year-old teenage boy from Russell Township. All are charged with robbery with a weapon.

All three were held pending a bail hearing scheduled for Wednesday.
