有的 gifted school 小学排名怎么那么差啊

Colonel By每年才去多少人啊，何况很多就是普通班的学生。

虽然从去年开始招的少一些，但也有150左右招到IB.

At least in my area, this is true.
Gift class is in the worst elementary and high school.
No clue why.

除了特殊情况，gifted学生都是送往最差的学校的，小学john young，中学bell high，佛一个战袍。

high school只剩下bell和merival 两所高中了。

大约2年前就不招了，现在有的也是原来招的，所以它的排名往下滑了。
要转也容易，申请的时候说明要选拉丁语或小提琴的课就行。当然，成绩也要说的过去。

2015-2016 Registration Process
If you are looking to register at Lisgar Collegiate Institute for the 2015-2016 school year please follow the steps below.

Find out if Lisgar Collegiate Institute is your designated home school by using the OCDSB School Locator or by calling the OCDSB Boundary Information Line at (613) 596‐8780.

If Lisgar is your designated home school, you must complete a Lisgar Collegiate Institute Student Registration Form. Student Registration Forms are available through select OCDSB Elementary Feeder schools or can be picked up at the main office at Lisgar Collegiate Institute upon providing the following:

• proof of address (property tax bill, assessment notice, purchase of sale agreement, or rental agreement); and
• a minimum of one other form of identification that includes the address and the guardian’s name (which may include the previous list as well as utility bills, driver’s license, etc.); and
• copy of Canadian Birth Certificate, Passport, or Permanent Resident documentation.

If you have been formally identified as a gifted learner by an Identification, Placement & Review Committee (IPRC) within the OCDSB and your designated home school through the OCDSB School Locator is either: Cairine Wilson SS, Canterbury HS, Colonel By SS, Glebe CI, Gloucester HS, Hillcrest HS, Lisgar CI, Nepean HS, Osgoode Township HS, Rideau HS, Ridgemont HS, Sir Wilfrid Laurier SS, or Woodroffe HS - Lisgar Collegiate Institute becomes the home school for gifted learners.


If you have not been formally identified as a gifted learner by an Identification, Placement & Review Committee (IPRC) within the OCDSB please provide the results of a recent cognitive abilities test (ex. Canadian Cognitive Abilities Test (CCAT), Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children (WISC‐IV)) for evaluation by the Special Education Department at Lisgar. Please note: these tests must be completed at your elementary school or by an Ontario psychologist and have been administered within the past two years.Once these documents have been reviewed, a member of the Special Education Department will contact you regarding the next steps for registration.


If Lisgar is not your designated home school, you must apply for a Secondary Student Transfer. Secondary Student Transfer Application forms are available at any OCDSB Secondary School between Monday, February 9 to Friday, February 20, 2015 and must be submitted to the main office at Lisgar Collegiate Institute by Friday, February 20, 2015. Registration instructions will be sent with approved transfers. (01/06/2015)
