An estimated 12,000 Hydro Ottawa customers were without power in the Stittsville, Munster, Richmond and Kanata areas Saturday afternoon.
The utility said the outage occurred at about 3 p.m.
Police reported the outage was due to a downed hydro pole in the city’s west end.
Crews are working on the problem and Hydro Ottawa says power is expected to be back at about 7 p.m.
