The Ottawa Police Service guns and gangs unit has laid charges against a man after a shooting at a home on Grant Street in the Hintonburg district early Wednesday.
Police responded to a home, located on the street about a block off of Parkdale Avenue, to find a bullet hole and a spent projectile lying on a window sill.
The home’s owner, Mark Gryba, and his 22-year-old daughter were home at the time of the shooting and called police. They were not injured.
Scott Allan MacDonald, 22, of Ottawa faces charges including careless use of a firearm, possessing a weapon for the purpose of committing an offence, uttering threats and discharging a firearm with the intent to wound.
The weapon has not been found.
