Workshop： Children with Special Needs 有特别需要的孩子
不管你有没有注意到，似乎随着时间推移，孩子们中似乎有越来越多“有特别需要的孩子”，从多动症（ADHD），到自闭症；从学习迟缓等成长中的挑战，到年轻化的心理疾患，涉及到生理（physical）、心理(psychological)、成长（developmental）以及心智(mental)。带给家庭，社区相应的挑战。
这个讲座是对关心这些有特别需要的孩子们的人士预备的，不管你是一位家长、社区以及教会的义工、欢迎你参加，详细信息在后。

Director of Children & Family Ministry
Eastgate Alliance Church & Mandarin Alliance Church
Debbie is the Children & Family Ministry Director at Eastgate Alliance. Recently, Mandarin Alliance joined them and Debbie plays an important role in guiding and supporting families for both churches in the spiritual growth of children. Prior to ministry, Debbie worked as an Educational Assistant with the Ottawa Carleton District School Board for 16 years. She has worked with students with a variety of exceptionalities such as learning disabilities, ADHD, autism spectrum disorders, Tourette ’s syndrome and hearing impaired.
Many children are being identified with some form of disability and at times, we as parents, educators and volunteers are unsure of how to help these families.
This workshop is to provide some initial information and answers to Children with Special Needs so that we can be more effective in our service and know where to look for support and resources that are available to us.
