Gatineau police are investigating a bomb threat called in to school officials at CÉGEP de l’Outaouais in Hull Thursday morning.
Police say the call was made to the Gabrielle-Roy campus just before 10 a.m. and are working with the school administration to exclude the possibility of a bomb.
“We are going class to class right now looking for anything suspicious, but there has not been an official evacuation,” said Sgt. Jean-Paul Lemay of the Gatineau police. “We can’t overlook that type of call and are taking the necessary measures with the information we have right now.”
The first priority is the safety of the students, according to Lemay. So far, no search dogs have been brought in for the search and classes continue as usual.
The investigation continues.
Anyone with information on the case is asked to call Gatineau police at 819-243-2345.
