Four-alarm fire closes streets at Baseline, Woodroffe

Saturday afternoon traffic was disrupted in the Algonquin College area as firefighters fought a blaze in a townhouse on Deerfield Drive.

It was not immediately known whether anyone was in the home when the fire started.

A westerly wind hampered efforts to control the fire, and crews called in multiple alarms to summon more firefighters and equipment.
