Pedestrian run down, badly injured at King Edward and Murray

A pedestrian suffered serious head injuries when he was struck by a vehicle just outside the Shepherds of Good Hope mission at King Edward and Murray Street just before 8 p.m. Thursday, Ottawa paramedics said.

The man, in his mid 20s, was unconscious when paramedics arrived. He was taken to The Ottawa Hospitals trauma centre, where he was in critical condition.

Ottawa police were investigating.
