A Saturday night blaze at a Gatineau duplex caused $160,000 in damage and displaced six people, fire officials said.
Gatineau firefighters received a report of flames and smoke coming from 468 Pierre-Lafontaine Rd. at about 6:20 p.m.
The fire, located in the roof, also damaged the home next door.
Officials said the fire was under control by 8 p.m.
Damage at 468 Pierre-Lafontaine Rd. is estimated at $120,000. Damage at 470 Pierre-Lafontaine Rd., the neighbouring home, is estimated at $40,000.
The Red Cross is assisting the six displaced residents, who will all be staying with family members, fire officials said.
One firefighter received a minor eye injury and was assessed by paramedics upon returning to the station, officials said.
