A 39-year-old Gatineau woman is to appear in court Tuesday on murder charges in connection with the slayings of Amanda Trottier and Travis Votour, both 23, on Jan. 6, 2014.
Police said Sonia Vilon was arrested Monday morning at her home.
The investigation, a joint effort between Gatineau police and the Sûreté du Québec, is continuing.
The investigation was reopened in December after detectives received what they described as new information.
Police set up a command post near the Eardley Terrace townhouse crime scene in hopes residents would come forward with further information.
Both victims were known to police: Votour was charged with drug possession in July 2013, according to court records.
