Visitors attending the 2015 Canadian Tulip Festival will be able to stay connected to the Internet for free thanks to a collaboration between the event and an Ottawa technology company.
The festival has teamed with Ottawa’s 6 Harmonics to use technology using airwaves known as “White Space” to broadcast far-reaching Wi-Fi signals that will blanket Commissioners Park and areas around Dow’s Lake throughout the remainder of the event, which runs until May 18th.
To use the network, visitors can connect to the “Tulip Festival” Wi-Fi network with their mobile device.
A password to access the Wi-Fi is available at the Liberation Concert Stage in Commissioners Park.
