The City of Ottawa traffic department was warning motorists to avoid Fallowfield Road in Barrhaven Thursday morning as train crossing signals west of Woodroffe Avenue were malfunctioning.
The issue was causing traffic congestion across Barrhaven during the morning rush hour as commuters looked for alternate routes to work.
Officials could not say when the problems might be resolved.
