An 86-year-old man was in serious condition with severe head injuries Friday after he was struck by a vehicle, paramedics said.
The collision happened near the intersection of Montreal and Carsons roads. The Ottawa Paramedic Service says it received the call at about 3:45 p.m.
Paramedics said the driver of the vehicle was not injured.
The pedestrian was in serious condition upon arriving at the hospital, paramedics said.
Ottawa police were investigating.
