Somebody asked me at one point for the name. I did not know at the time. Yesterday, I paid my gardener friend a visit and got 4 more pieces and the name. It is one variety of sedum (indoor). I planted the little leaves too. If they grow, I can probably divide this pot to make 50 pots of plants. Should that be a success, I will let the board know at the point of division and whoever wants can pick up a pot.

There is a big difference between nursery and mass-production factory-style department store such as WM, HD, CT and Rona. The former is selling at higher prices but the plant is pure in origin and will last a lot longer and healthier. I buy ordinary plants from department stores but more delicate ones from nursery. For a quick illustration, I paid 49.99 for my hibiscus tree whereas it can be bought for 29.99-34.99 at most department stores but there is a catch, mine started blooming in early April, giving me over 300 blooms by now and it is still going and going; I paid 54.99 for my gardenia tree whereas it can be bought between 34.99-44.99 at most department stores but the difference between mine and those is like day and night. I paid 39.99 for my Chinese jasmine tree and it can be had between 29.99-34.99 at most department store. Three/four years down the road, the difference is getting increasingly apparent. In short, you got what you paid for. Every extra penny is worthwhile --- to a plant lover, of course!

我前两天在一超市裡看到棵小白蘭樹，不知道這邊氣候適合她不？難養不？怕自己菜鳥把她養壞了，没敢買。。。

這個是去年初在Home Depot買的，我也特喜歡這顔色。
今年在Costco買了，包裝上的圖片是和我這大麗花一樣。可是種出來是黄色，而且品種也不一樣，很矮，還没一呎高。

Stake it now. If you wait to stake it later when it gets a lot bigger, roots may get hurt.

不是在渥太華看到的，在萬錦 ( Markham )。
因爲怕養壞了會心疼，那是家鄉的味道。没敢買。
她對泥土有什麽要求不？肥料呢？

Oh. I don't know about this specifically. But more often than not, most flowering-plants like mild-acid well-drainage organics-rich soil. It is an outdoor plant but can't survive the harsh winter here. So, you will have to treat it as a domestic tropical plant. Gardenia, azalea, bird of paradise etc. are all outdoor plants originally.

蝴蝶兰还是老样子我都有泡水，等他好点了我再拍照。好啊，等茉莉好了，告诉我一声。我就外盆的事情，已经反复了好几回了。。。。选了几个都不算满意。明天再出去找找看，能不能找到一个我满意的外盆。

I transplanted the existing jasmine some 3 wks ago and she is fully settled now. You can come over to pick her up any time you like if you enjoy watching her growing and budding. In that case, I will plant the clippings for you later on when they fully propagate and the blooms are over. With the clippings addition to the existing shrub, you will have a huge gorgeous jasmine (the clippings are cut from the vines, so you will have a shrub and vines in one pot).

去花店逛了一圈，買到心頭愛了。白蘭花是被訂下的，可那人過了两天没取貨，老闆娘見我愛不惜手就先給我了。
還多買了一棵百合，圖片上的顔色好特别。

I think the label is wrong. It is a dragon lily not hybrid --- ranking lilies by delicacy: peace lily (indoor), calla (indoor and outdoor), casa blanca (indoor and outdoor), dragon lily (outdoor), Easter lily (indoor and outdoor) ... You got a great one!
It spreads through roots and will get bigger and taller as time elapses, producing increasingly more flowers. It is simply gorgeous but you have to watch out for bugs, spraying vinegar, soap and cigarette bud mixed with water weekly on the buds and leaves for prevention.
Keep it in the planter so that you can move it inside to better enjoy the blooms. It likes to be alone. Don't plant it in beds with other plants. Plant it to the ground in mid-late August so that roots still have time to settle/develop. I got a very nice one last year but kept it in the planter. It did out survive the winter up on the 21st floor.

上次照片裡的红玫瑰在Canadian Tire買的，我今天去他們那看到同樣品種的在减價$11.99。

我今天去Canadian Tire 逛了一圈儿，看那里什么玫瑰都没有了。今年玫瑰基本已经过季节了，明年再说了。不过我家后院有一颗白玫瑰，也很漂亮。
