A 37-year-old man was taken to hospital after a stabbing incident on Thursday at the Lincoln Fields transit station.
The victim was in non-life-threatening condition after being stabbed while riding on a Route 94 bus at around 11:38 a.m. People were on the bus when the stabbing happened, according to Sgt. Doug Edgar.
The suspect had fled when police arrived and was still at large on Thursday afternoon. Police would not comment on how the suspect escaped.
Police cleared the scene by mid-afternoon and handed it over to OC Transpo, who reportedly will have to clean the bus of heavy blood stains before putting it back into work.
Around 2 p.m., OC Transpo tweeted that all buses have returned to their regular routes.
