A driver who fled the scene after striking an off-duty Ottawa police officer out for a Saturday morning bike ride will face charges, police said.
The officer suffered “serious but non-life threatening” injuries, police said.
The collision took place in the area of Leikin Drive and Holitzner Way in Barrhaven.
Police said the driver was in custody, but did not release further details.
