An early morning fire at 1417 Perez Cres. in Gloucester has left four families, including four children, at least temporarily displaced.
Emergency personnel reported several calls shortly after midnight at the townhouse row and reported flamesin the middle unit. The fire spread into the common roof area and from there into the other three units.
Firefighters brought the blaze under control by about 12:30 a.m. There were no injuries. Salvation Army and Red Cross officials were at the scene to assist the displaced residents.
Cause of the fire remains under investigation and no damage estimate was available.
