The federal election is still weeks away, but the Citizen newsroom is already compiling news and information that will help you cast your ballot and stay informed of what’s happening in Ottawa-area ridings.
For example: We’ve got fact sheets — we call them riding profiles — for all the hot local contests. Prepared by the Citizen reporter responsible for covering your riding, each contains details on who’s running, the big local issues, a riding map, and results of the 2011 election.
How to find all this? Just go to any election coverage on ottawacitizen.com — including the page you’re reading now — and in the right-hand column you’ll see local ridings listed under the heading OTTAWA-AREA RIDINGS.
Click any riding name and you’ll find the riding profile, along with other news stories related to the riding. We’re updating these areas, right through election night.
You’ll also find more election news, guides and analysis, as well as the popular Gargoyle political blog.
And, we’re constantly updating our full Election 2015 site.
