Ottawa police have charged a 26-year-old man with breaking and entering and theft from a number of homes in the Orléans and Cumberland areas between July 20 and Aug. 13.
Detectives say the man targeted homes with unlocked windows or doors and made off with jewellery, electronics, cash and alcohol.
Joshua Saunders, of Ottawa faces eight counts of break-and-enter and one attempted break-in as well as eight counts of possession of stolen property.
Police remind residents to lock doors and windows when you are away from your home.
