A driver alleged to have squeezed a motorcyclist off Highway 417 has been charged with failing to stop at the scene of an accident causing bodily harm, Ontario Provincial Police said Tuesday.
The 44-year-old motorcyclist lost control of his bike and was thrown into a ditch near Eagleson Road on Aug. 20 while trying to avoid a car that had entered his lane, police said. The rider was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Police said a driver contacted the OPP Ottawa detachment after police issued an appeal for help finding a white vehicle involved in the accident.
Chantal Catherine Formica, 35, of Ottawa is to appear in court in October.
