Car dealer can be so frustrating!

I paid nothing. They gave you free report. Then someone from dealership will contact you. My experience with Unhaggle is GREAT!

我好奇car dealer的sales staff培训是不是教一些怎样糊弄客户的技巧。。。
俗话说:好记性不如烂笔头
 
我也刚买的2016 MAZDA6 . 价钱很好啊. 推荐Banks street Mazda. 态度和价格都比KANATA 的好不少.

So I thought I have done my homework for the car shopping but I still got myself into a frustrating situation. After long research I decided to go for mazda cx-5 2016. I got my data from Unhaggle and thought I got a great deal after getting everything agreed with the sales manager at Mazda dealer in Ottawa. At this point my guard was down and I got handed over the bill of sales. The numbers look correct so i signed. Then I realized one big problem: Mazda in Aug was running a promotion of $500 rebate for financing. I assumed it's still there but it's not on my bill of sales. I talked to the sales manager and he told me the promotion is gone.
I went back to Mazda website and it said "you may be eligible for $500 for the financing bonus. Contact dealer for details". I then called other dealers in Ottawa and both of them confirmed the financing bonus is still good now. I called mazda Canada and they said they would call my dealer to discuss as they weren't sure either. I then sent an email (with a different name) to my dealer and the response is the rebate is still good!

I started to feel the sales manager may feel I took out too much of his profit and intentionally tried to screw me over for the rebate. what do you guys suggest I do? the bill has been signed (my bad and I should have checked for the 500 dollars before signing.)

My lesson learned is when you go talk to dealer, it's a war and you have to be at full alert 200%. These guys can be so vicious.

Unhaggle 给了你车行的成本价,你最终谈下来的价格和他们的底价差多少?也许所有的rebate都包含在discount 内了?
 
有trade-in,我是在贪玩价钱之后才单独谈trade-in的。
我是去的Kanata Mazda,其实bank street电话上就给我一个非常好的价钱而且答应我500 rebate.因为我是去Kanata Ottawa试车在先(毕竟近),所以觉得和他们先谈比较fair.
 
有时候和 dealer谈价钱,不管他们paper上怎么写,只要总价钱是谈好的就行

Car dealer is frustrated......
 
其实最让我反感的是骗。他们cancel的主要原因是我拿出证据他们的确有这个rebate. 两天前他们说没有。这种明目张胆的谎话实在是吓人。我也做好心理准备了,他们可以说我就是不给你反正你签了,那我就买呗。
总之我的经验是,除非你不在乎千儿八百的,在去dealer之前,把功课做足,带好你的checklist。签之前你是爷,签完之后做孙子的可能极大。
我总结的买车攻略:一旦选好车,上unhaggle,如果你嫌烦,给他们一百块,他们帮你找dealer bid,如果你不嫌烦,拿着unhaggle的report多几个问。
 
500 bucks is really not worth being emotional when you buy a car, besides, the agreement did not indicate this rebate, and you signed. i dont really think you can do anything about it
