A speedster who was caught going twice the posted limit as he left a construction zone on the Macdonald-Cartier bridge in Gatineau has been handed a $1,163 ticket and 14 demerit point by the Quebec provincial police.
The Sûreté du Québec said they stopped the 29-year-old Ontario man driving 140 km/h in a 70 km/h zone on Friday at about 7 p.m. The driver also received a $454 ticket for unpaid fees on his registration, according to police.
